Challenge
- The client was looking to migrate their workload to AWS cloud with tightly coupled security
- Their servers to be delivered with cloud first strategy
- 190+ non SAP applications hosted in multiple environments (Cloud, data center) were in different technologies (legacy, web) and with different architectures (SaaS, custom, desktop)
- Since the workloads were from an acquired entity, single sign on (SSO) had to be defined from scratch
- Wanted a technology partner with deep capability in AWS cloud and consulting skills
Solution
- Trisys used 8R (Customized Migration framework) to come up with strategy and design on how the migration will be accomplished
- Leveraged AWS native security tools i.e., AWS GuardDuty, Control Tower, Security Hub, AWS Inspector to ensure protection against cyber threats
- Implemented multi-tenant environment, setup role-based access control (RBAC, IAM) & SSO in AWS to ensure strong identity management
- Used infrastructure as code to automate infrastructure provisioning and achieve standardization to avoid human errors
